RunoffStreams and rivers contain less fresh water than the atmosphere. When rain falls down, some of them becomes a runoff, water that flows over Earth's surface. Runoff is a part of the water cycle. The rain will become a runoff and the runoff will eventually go back to the ocean. Then the sea water evaporate and it will go back to the surface as rain.
Same as glaciers, runoff shape the surface of the Earth by running down the land, as a result, many lands are formed by runoffs. There are many vocabularies related to the runoffs and fresh water on and in the surface. |
